Why Do Rescues Have Adoption Fees?

Adoption fees, along with daily care contributions, help Big Love Animal Rescue cover vaccinations and medical preparation for each dog. They also allow us to set aside funds for emergency vet visits, life-saving surgeries, and behavioral training, so every dog has the support they need to heal and thrive.

Adoption Fees:

  • $675 – Puppies aged between 8 weeks and 10 months old
  • $525 – Adult dogs
  • $300 – Senior dogs 9 years and up

* $25 of each adoption fee goes to our software server for a processing fee.

Fees for Dogs with special needs will be determined based upon circumstances and may result in a fee reduction.

Adoption Inclusions:

 Your adoption fee helps cover the lifesaving medical care each dog receives at Big Love. All dogs are up to date on vaccines at the time of adoption. Puppies receive all age-appropriate vaccines while with us, and their adopters continue the remaining boosters with their veterinarian to keep them protected and up to date on shots.

  • Rabies (1 yr. or 3 yr.)
  • Distemper (DHLPP or DHLPP-C)
  • Bordetella
  • Altered – Females Spayed or Males Neutered (if adopting a young puppy, Spay/Neuter will be completed at a later date and will be covered by our rescue)
  • Micro-chipped
